I love this idea. I posted it on my blog and no one signed up, guess I did it before I had enough bloggie friends! Hope you get some good feedback! And I'd love something homemade!

This is awesome. I found your blog through a friend and have never regretted "lurking" and seeing your awesome ideas. Thank you, thank you , thank you for your wonderful ideas and links to stuff I really can use. I look forward to doing this on my blog! :) (although mine is not even close to as elaborate as yours!) :)

Looks like fun. Let us know how it turns out. I've seen a lot of these on Facebook, but haven't heard how the follow through went. I'm anxious to see how it turns out. :) How are you feeling these days? I hope well.

This is a delightful offer and challenge to others. Count me in. -- I so appreciate your generosity and kindness. I've been watching your website since I found it when looking for flannel board stories for my Primary class. Imagine my joy when I found them COLORED already!
I love the pay it forward idea. I'll do it!
My commitment is up on my blog...You are inspirational!

Darn! I missed the cut off. Hi there! I believe we are related distantly. I am Jean Lance's grand daughter, Jon Lance's daughter. I love your blog! So nice to see what you and your family is up to, crafty, recipe, or what not! Check out my blog!

I am so slow on the uptake! Why didn't I make arrangements to meet you at "The Purple Cow"? Not that you could have just dropped everything and come...but that would have fit so nicely into the hiatus scrapbook. :)

Here is what someone did for us. My brother in law died in a helicopter crash in 2007. We heard and packed up our family and headed to Vegas{where he lived} to see what we could do. We figured that we would just figure out what we were going to do when we got there. We met a girl who's parents were from New Zealand, and that is where the husband spent his mission. Well one thing lead to another and she opened her home to us! All 5 of us! {my husband, myself, and the 3 boys, at the time ages 3,2,1.} She watched our kids a couple nights, and made sure we were as comfortable as possible.
From her example, I have been trying to keep my doors open to who ever needs a place to stay. She was truely an angle and I still can't thank her enough.
{And you... thank you for your blog it's amazing! }
